Hi Charles,
Did you ever found out where Amos Jackson East was buried. I am a descendant of Amos J East for his daughter Nancy married my great granddad James Washington Rowl over in Clay County, Alabama. Some has it to where her sister, Jeanie was the one who lived but that is all wrong. Amos and his wife are both buried over in Lystra Cemetery, Clay County, Alabama. The graves has no markers but his daughter Nancy (her headstone is marked incorrectly for someone has her sister's name on it instead) and her husband James Washington Rowl. My granddad is name after his granddad, Amos Jackson East. My granddad first name was also Amos.
Amos Jackson East served during the Civil War but in the Reserve and receive pension from the state of Alabama until he and his wife died.
Please let me know if you are interested in corrresponding.
