My name is James Dan Barr, originally from
Monroe, La., now living in NC. My mother's
maiden name was Eason, and she was from the
southwestern part of Arkansas. Her father's
name was Sidney Seburn Eason. He had a family
of 8(?) children by his first wife. After
she died, he remarried (Ellen Clementine
McBroom) and fathered another family of 8(?)
children. Some of the names of the eight
youngest children were: Ruby (my mother),
Walter(the oldest), Henry (the youngest),
Vera, Allie, and Louella. I probably could
come up with the names of some of the other
children, given a little time. Sidney Seburn
died shortly before I was born, which was in
1932. It is my understanding that this line
of Easons came from Georgia prior to settling
in Arkansas. Hope this will help anyone
working on Eason geneology.
