I'm researching my Eason line which appears to start in the US around 1850 in New York
City (Manhattan and Brooklyn). These Easons
came from Ireland (Northern Ireland, I believe) and may have come there from Scotland.

My great-great-grandfather was Stewart EASON.
My great-grandfather, born in the US, was Daniel. His brother, John W. Eason, was a police Captain in Brooklyn. Many relatives were in the police or fire departments in NYC.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who is researching this line in NY or NJ (some ended up in Marshall County, Iowa).
