Eason Family Genealogy Forum

Have any of you who have researched the formation of your family-name been able to trace it to a particular place and time in England? I suspect that Eason may be related to Easum, a variant of d'Easum, which was my maternal grandmother's maiden name, which, in turn, is derived from Isham, a family- and place-name in Northamptonshire, England from very early date. It almost seems that the antiquity of a family-name is reflected in the number of variant spellings.
