Am looking for anyone who might know, or know anything about, the following people: Newton Sevier Eason - b: 3-26-1861 and d: 10-9-1923. His 1st wife was Mary Elmina Cunningham - she died 7-14-1886 while giving birth to their 1st born, my grandfather, James Albert Eason. Newton remarried to a Lurita Arcanian Clark and had 3 more children: Wm. (Seth) Eason, Florence Eason & Lacross Eason. When married to Mary, they lived in Sevier county Ark. In later years he moved on to Eagletown, OK.
Some family members say that Newton's dad was a doctor and was called "Doc", and that Doc's wife was either a doctor also or a mid-wife. It is said that Doc Eason was red headed, tall and from Ireland. Is there anyone out there who has information on these people?
