Nancy, I found Thomas Eason age 40 and wife Nancy age 35 in 1850 in Coweta Co. GA. children: John 19,James 16, William 10, Jefferson 8, Augustus 6, Thomas 3 and Jasper 1. I think this is son of the Thomas in Morgan Co. In another post signed Brett Barnes dated May 7 2002, he states" my earliest known Eason ancestor was my GGG- grandfather, Thomas Eason ( Sr) who married Martha ( Patsy) Welch in Morgan CO. GA 1-25-1812. He was born in GA about 1788. He was a War of 1812 Soldier and was granted land in Coweta Co. GA where he moved by 1830. I have not been able to determine who Thomas's parents were." So you and Brett are "cousins" I guess. LOL. As for Rice being Thomas's father ....HUM... Abraham and Lucy Eason married about 1790...Children Nancy born 1792 married Wm. Hodges in 1812, Rice born 1794 married Frances Meyers, Martha born 1796, Abraham born 1799, William born 1800, Lucy b. born 1803, Edmond P. born 1806, Mary born 1808, James born 1811, John born 1812, Catherine born 1813 and my Andrew born 1818. So when and where did you find Rice. The one born in 1794 is well documented. He wouldn't be old enough to be Thomas' father. There was a Joseph in Morgan Co in 1820 also. Let me know what you think. Mary
