I wonder if anyone can help me with an EASON family who lived in Geelong, Victoria, Australia until at least 1902.
In 1895 Richard EASON, plasterer, son of Richard EASON, (plasterer) and Annabelle SISSONS married Minnie Ethel BROWN. (Minnie's mother died in 1877 and Minnie was raised by her grandparents, Thomas Halk R. and Mary SUTTON.)
Minnie & Richard had three children (Vic BDM Index).
Richard Harold Sutton EASON born Geelong 1896 (called Harry in 1902)
Rhoda Annabella EASON born Geelong 1899
Doris May EASON born Geelong 1902
In 1903 Richard, plasterer, and Minnie, home duties were living at Munday Street, Geelong as were Thomas Sutton, labourer and Mary Sutton, home duties.
In 1912 Minnie's Grandparents are still living at Munday Street (listed as Mary Sutton, home duties and Thomas Halk Sutton, independent means), but I am unable to find any sign of the Eason family.
Richard & Minnie's parents/grandparents died between 1909 and 1921. Richard is listed as 50 on his mother's death certificate in 1921- so most likely he is alive then.
I have searched Victorian BDM Indexes, Vic. Will Index, Interstate, and NZ records, and online in the Liverpool (UK) area where the Eason's hailed from, without success.
Does anyone have any clues, links or ideas?
