In Reply to: THOMAS EASON m.EMILY CATHERINE?GA? by Deborah Summers of 1466

Hello Deborah,
I am an Eason descendant (G-Grandson of George Washington Eason, son of Thomas Eason Jr.) living in Carroll County, GA.
The date of birth you give for this Thomas Eason coincides with the date of birth of Thomas Eason (III), son of Thomas Eason Jr. According to Census data, he was born abt. 1847.
But the only marriage I've come across was to Sophronia Jackson Nov. 1, 1866 in Carroll County.
However, in the 1870 Census, Thomas was in Cleburne County, Alabama, just across the line, along with his brother, Jasper. I have not found him anywhere after that. So, maybe Sophronia died early and he remarried to Emily?
I will start checking the censuses for 1880 and later and try to find a Thomas with an Emily...I'll let you know what I find there.
How are you connected to Thomas?

Brett Barnes
