Brett: are you shure that you have Thomas Eason in Oglethorpe County, Georgia on te 1840 census. I show this Thomas to be in Sumpter County, Alabama on the 1840 census, page 82. His household is just above that of Emund Welch (my line). Edmund was Patsy (Welch) Eason's brother. Then on the other side of Edmund is Charles McCarter, who married one of Patsy's and Edmund's sisters. The McCarter household is then followed by a Harrison Eason, who might be Thomas and Patsy's oldest son; or perhaps a brother to Thomas.
