I may be able to help out some. My grandfather, Lawrence Easler, operated a grocery store on hwy. 221 across the road from Cherokee Springs Baptist Church, and my grandmother still resides there today. My grandfather is buried in Cherokee Springs Baptist Cemetery and he actually paid for each individual brick when the original church was built. I'll ask my grandma about Clara Mabel. I have heard her mention that name before but I think she goes by Mabel instead of Clara. Email me so we can have more direct contact.
