Seeking info on Cleveland Earp. Based on the 1900 Census for Johnston Co NC he was in the household of my great grandmother, Sarah Phipps Earp. About 1901 she brought her five boys to Durham, NC, 40 miles west of Johnston Co. It appears Cleveland is the son of William Gaston Earp by his second wife Clowey Nowell, who is listed in the Raleigh Farmers & Mechanic as dead in 1883. Based on Clevelands age in the 1900 census, it appears his mother proably died from childbirth. Am asking all Earp researchers to keep check for Cleveland. I will in return share my material on Earp Genealogy, mainly the decendants of William Earp decd. 1794 in Johnston County.
