The 1870 Phelps Co, MO, census shows a Singleton Earp with a wife named Sarah. Elizabeth Williams is listed with her family one family down, so there is a great possiblity that Elizabeth is the daughter of this Singleton Earp. I have not found any additional census records with this particular Singleton, but Sarah is listed with Zachariah & Elizabeth on the 1880 census.

There is some confusion on two different Singleton Earps, both in KY. One was the son of Josiah Earp (Rev War), and he is often inocrrectly shown as the son of Philip Hawker Earp. That Singleton Earp was married to a Hannah, and they are both still alive and married at the time of the 1870 KY census.

One clue to the parents of Singleton Earp (f/o Elizabeth Williams) is a son on the 1870 Phelps Co census named Philip H. I don't have a lot of information on Philip Hawker, but you might try that line for research. Just be aware that there are a lot of inocrrect family trees about the Earp family.
