This family tree leaves out several important facts on the NC Earps. Edward Earp was probably married to Elizabeth Summersett and possibly to Alice Bass before he was in the Johnston/Wake Co area.

William Earp, who died in 1792 in Johnston Co, was much too young to have been Edward's brother. The time frame would mean that William was born ca 1700-1715, which means he would have fathered Littleberry Earp when he was in his 70s. It is more likely that William was Edward's grandson since there is a Deed of Gift in JoCo in which Edward gives slaves to his grandson, William. Some of these slaves show up in William's estate listing.
