Hi Matthew,
unfortunately I dont thinks there's any connection with my family, who only moved into Yorkshire in the 1870s and were miners. Earnshaw is a traditional name in Yorkshire, which is probably why my family adopted it, they were called Henshaw in Derbyshire.
