Karmen, I have read several of you postings and I am somewhat perplexed. I have done extensive research onRobert or Robard Earnhardt and his family, since his daughter, Aranna, is my husband's grandmother. You show that his father, George Earnhardt or Ehrenhardt married to Elizabeth Porter. I have the North Carolina Marriage Bonds and the 1850 and 1860 Census. He married Leah Culp or Kolb on 27 Mar 1826, Bondsman Phillips Earnhardt Register# 016 01 062 Bondsman# 000007812 and she was still alive on the 1860 Censue. The George Earnhardt, who married Elizabeth Porter, married her on 28 Jan 1833. Moses Cauble was the Bondsman and the record# is 085 01 03 and the Bond# is 000124337. So she couldn't have been married to Robert's father. All of George's children belonged to Leah, who died between 1860 and 1870. I also have a question about Solomon and Crawford. I found Crawford on the 1850 and 1860 Census in the home of Peter and Susanna Earnhardt. On the 1850 Census he was 7 years old which would have been consistant with a birthdate of 1843. I don't find him on either Census Record in George's home. If he was George's son, he should have been listed with the other children. As for Solomon, I don't find a Solomon listed anywhere in George's family. I did however find two Solomon Earnhardt's. I found a Solomon with the right birth year in Mecklenberg, NC. I found a Solomon getting married in 1847 to a Margareat Emily Hunter, which would have made a birth year of 1827 about right, but I don't find him with George's family, nor do I find him living near the family in 1850. Abraham was 17 in 1850 and Elizabeth was 20. So Solomon would have been the oldest. Can you tell me where you found that he was George's son? Can anyone tell me how to find out if he was George's and Leah's son?
