In Reply to: George Earlywine's wife, Mary Trigg Snap by Lana Tevis Griffin of 180

I show Mary Trigg as being born about 1776 in Pennsylvania & died August 1834 in Indiana. First married to George Snapp then to George Earlywine.

George Snapp was born about 1759 in Germany and died 1786 Summit Station Kentucky. George Snapp & Mary Trigg were married 1779 in Pennsylvania.

Notes:
George Snapp was killed by Indians, about 1783 or 1785. His wife Mary remarried George Earlywine, a Revolutionary War Soldier. Mary was left with two small chidlren, George Snapp Jr. and Susannah Snapp, Susannah was two years old when her father was killed. Mary's maiden name is unknown but possibly Trigg. George was a German Immigrant who had come to Pennsylvania from the Palatinate. The people of that Rhine area were traded around among minor royalty and, with each change, were forced to adopt the religion of the ruling head. After George was killed, Mary remarried George Earlywine in 1787.

George Snapp may have come from Germany with his brother, John Snapp, and is family on the ship Samuel in 1733. By 1735 they were living in Virginia.

Mary Trigg then married George Earlywine February 19, 1787 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. George died before 1830 in Kentucky.

Mary had 2 children by her first marriage George Snapp Jr. & Susanna

Mary had 6 children by her second marriage: Daniel; John Snapp; Jacob; Sarah "Sallie" (My Line); William & Elizabeth.
