"Merit" A Violette b. KY 5 Oct 1812. I am a gggrandson of his but have little to no info of his ancestry. He m. Eliza Ann Damrell and moved to MO before 1850. After that I have pretty good info. His son, Merritt, Jr, gave Mark Twain's birth home which is now inside the building at the park in Florida, MO. Any info will be appreciated.
