The Townlands of Ballynascarry and Ballinrink are about 1 or 2 miles south-east of Lough Sheelin. This lake is on the boundary of Counties Westmeath, Longford, Cavan and Meath, in Ireland.
The Irish Ordnance Survey Mapping Service website is www.osi.ie
That website has an interactive map of Ireland with a feature allowing the modern map to be overlaid with historical and other maps.
The X/Y map coordinates for Ballynascarry are 646249/780603
The X/Y map coordinates for Ballinrink 649517/780279.
On the old 1828-1845 Map The area of Ballynascarry is shown as 628 acres 1 rood and 13 perches.
The area of Ballinrink is shown as 964 acres 1 rood and 19 perches
These two Townlands are about 1 mile apart.
Unfortunately the only census records available for searching online are from 1901 and 1911. The two previous Census Record papers were ‘recycled’ due to a paper shortage during the Great War 1914-18.
There is a Patrick Early, Aged 64, not married and living alone in Ballynascarry in 1901. The Census record can be seen at http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Westmeath/Finnea/Ballynascarry/1778883/

This Patrick Early was therefore born in 1837.
The Electoral District(DED) is Finnea. There are some Flood surnames around that DED area also in the 1901 Census.
