Yes, James Early Jr married Sarah Downer Carr 7/1812 at Albemarle County, Va and had 6 children including John Fendall Early, George Washington Early (b.1833) and Frances Ann Caroline Early (b.5/1828). Frances married a Capt. Isaac Davis. James also had a daughter named Sarah Early (b.1829) who married a Dr. Robt. Beazley. I could not find anything on a Sarah Burns but that name is very familar to me. I will pursue that further and get back to you if I find something more. That name rings a bell not through the Early line but I think either the McMullan or Shelton line (which lived in the same area). I'll check on that.

Names that seem to be very common in this line are: Blakey, Breeden, Brown, Cave, Chapman, Daniel, Davis, Durrett/Durrette, Eddins, Everett, Garnett, Garth, Graves, Johnson, Jones, Kemper, Landstreet, Martin, McMullan/McMullen, Miller, Norris, Parrott, Powell, Shelton, Simms, Smith, Stephens, Taylor, Thrift, Thomas, Walker, Weaver, White, Witt.

Sorry this has not been more helpful
Teresa
