I am looking for decendants of John and James Early. The family came from Sligo during the Famine, their father was Owen Early. John first settled in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Seaham Street in 1857, I have no records prior to this date. He and his wife Ann many Children, Owen (born Thornley 1858), Patrick (Born Shotton 1866), Lizzie (born Seaham 1868), John (Born Seaham 1871), Mary Ann (born Seaham 1874)and James (born Seaham 1876-died 1877). Lizzie Married Charlie McCabe in 1889 and Mary Ann married Peter Murtha at Wallsend in 1902. I have note been able to find any further info on Mary Ann. Patrick married Margaret McCann in 1891 and the following Children, Owen, John (tramp Early), Elizabeth, Annie, Mary, Wlliam, James. One of the women is believed to have married in York. The other brother James was somewhat of a Wanderer, his wife was Mary Fallon, and their children were James 1864 (Bishop Auckland), Elizabeth (1867 Handley Green, Stafford), Annie Early 1872 (Leadgate) Jane Early 1875 (West Auckland), John Early 1877 (Bull Cragg) and Bridget Early 1880 (Annfield Plain). Two of the sisters Annie and Bridget married Conelius McCabe and Billy Reily, and I have heard that Jane may have married someone by the name of Kane in Ryhope. John was killed in 1917, shot by a snipper in the great war, but what of James ? and all their decendants ? Anyone who may have any info, mail me on the AOL address or via my Website as shown bellow where their is an email link. www.geocities.com/earlyfamilyuk/mypage.html. Shaun Early
