Descendants of Col. John Earle, Rutherford NC

I came across a deed that may be of interest to folks on this forum.

Buncombe County, NC deed book 12, page 165 lists (in the usual early unpunctuated fashion) the following names:

[dated February 18, 1817]

John B. Earle
John Lewis for himself & wife Nancy
William Hannon for himself & wife Elizabeth
Edwin Hannon for himself & wife Caroline M.
George M. Earle
Joseph B. Earle
William Prince for himself & wife Lydia M
Silas Whitten for himself & wife Eleanor
Laban P. Pool for himself & wife Letty
Amarillis Earle
"E. Badul for and Harriet Harrison Earle" [that's really how it reads. Might be "Radul" - it's very scribbly]

"all heirs and representatives of Col. John Earle late of Rutherford County deceased"

the deed conveys property to Matthew Mayburn, based on a paper found in Colonel Earle's effects. The deed mentions a slave and property on Green River.

I did not transcribe the deed in full, because I'm not related to the Earles. I copied the above because I can't stand to let a list of heirs go by without putting it on a message board. I have no other info on the Earles.

Hope this helps someone,
