The birthdate for your Jewson and mine appear to be the same, but the census for the UK and NY differs. Your info and mine also has similar first names for family members.
The New York State Census of 1850 lists:
Earish, Jenson, age 40-Male-White-born in England, lived in Watervliet, Albany County.
I think this is Jewson rather than Jenson.
I have an invitation for Silver Wedding Party for Jewson Earish and Malinda Visscher. The party was held on April 26, 1882 at 8 PM in the town of Karner, Albany Co, NY.So, they were married in 1857.
Autographs in my Great-Grandmother Anna (nee Vickery)Sabey's book have autographs from "Roger J.Earish", "Your loving cousin, Sitche H. Earish", "Dear cousin Anna...Fannie Earish". The autographs are dated June 27 and 28, 1880.
It appears that Jewson married Anna's widowed Aunt Malinda(nee Vickery) Visscher, as best I can make out.
My 81 year old mother remembers an "Aunt Fan", an "Aunt Sitche" as being unmarried and elderly, and Roger as working in the Carl Company department store in Schenectady, NY also unmarried, most likely.
I wonder if Fannie was the daughter of Frances and Jewson and also Roger's sister?Sitche is the name of Malinda's mother.
