You're right - I was assuming the family of Thomas Eames,including in my use of the Ames/Eames genealogy. Thomas had a son Samuel himself, listed in both genealogies, and it may be that Moses Eames (1887) confused the two Samuel's and made it look like Thomas's son Samuel married both Death and Twitchell.
