Robert
I too am a descendent of Samuel Eames but of his last son Jonathan born 1716. If Mary Peabody
is his mother then she would have been 60 when he was born, there is a need to untangle this
mess for us as we all who are descendent of Samuel.
I do believe that your idea that S.E.’s Mary & J.D.’s Mary are not the same person. Your posting
has many conflicting dates to sort out but, with the Utah web site this is my take on it.
Death
John Death & Mary Peabody Married Abt Dec 1669 To Feb 1670 ( 1014. John Death item 1 J.D.
& wife were fined & paid $ in March)
Mary Peabody Born 22 May 1656 (see Peabody Below)
Mary Death Born abt 1672 Between Thomas 1670 & Oliver 1674, marriage at age 16-17 (Your
est. of 1678 would make her only 11 at the time of marriage)
Peabody
The info on Francis ( 2030. Francis Peabody ) also is confusing as it states that he married Mary
Foster 36 years old on 18 May 1654 abt the time they had their 8th child? ?
Francis married Mary Foster abt 1640-1 & and produced 7 children. Mary died
Francis remarried Lydia ____ 18 May 1654 & produced 12 more children including Mary P.
or
Francis married Lydia first & married Mary F as stated & Mary P. was their first child.

I have not seen the Peabody Genealogy 1909, it may prove that I am incorrect. I am answering
your comments not as an criticism but as a view point and commend you, for this task may take
lots of what if’s & research to get to the truth. Donald Eames
