William Eakin was killed in 1780. He had married Mary Wallace in Virginia and had son Josiah Akin (born VA) and probably son William Akins (born KY). His widow, Mary Wallace Eakin, married William Goodwin, the administrator of Eakin's estate in 1782.
Samuel Eakin was killed in 1783 alongside famed Col John Floyd.
Robert Eakin was a witness to the will of John Floyd in 1783.
I believe these three men (William, Samuel and Robert) may have been the "missing sons" of William Eakin and Isabel (Morrison). William died in Bucks county PA in 1766 and his family moved to Botetourt county VA. There were also Wallaces in Botetourt county, including a Josiah Wallace who was of the right age to have been Mary Wallace Eakin Goodwin's brother and, perhaps, namesake of her son Josiah Wallace.
I'd enjoy correspondence about these possible connections. I'd also like to know if a patrilineal descendant of William and Isabel (Morrison) Eakin has Y tested. The results of such a test might encourage a descendant of Josiah Akin to test.
