I hope perhaps that we can asist each other. I must admit that I at an early stage in my search. I live in Rome, Italy so it is rather impossibl for me to physically search rcords.

My mother Ella Faye Eaker was born Apr 12, 1923 in New Bethlemem daughter of:
Frederick Eaker b Feb 2, 1882, d Oct 25, 1960
Ella (Weaver) Eaker b 1883, d Nov 15(?) 1929

My mother had several brothers and sisters but only she and her youngest brother survive. Due to her mother's early death and her siblings being mostly much older, she has virtually no information on the family.

One brother James b Feb 22 1903, d Jan 1986 had two sons, one Stuart still lives in the Clarion County area but I am not sure of his exact address. Her brother James lived his life and died in Clarion County.

My grandfather, Frederick, was born out of wedlock to an Eaker mother who later married a Space and had two children; half brothers to my grandfather. One son Boggs Space b 28 Oct 1896 d Mar 1983 in Clarion County.

My grandfather had a farm near Squirel Hill and is buried in a small church cemetary on Squirel Hill. As mentioned he was born out of wedlock and took his mother's surname. My mother doesn't know her first name or other details. However, there is a good chance that she is closely related to or a descendant of Phillip Eaker that you refer to.

In any case, I will appreciate all information you can provide. My preference is you send e-mail to in addition to posting to this forum.

I have some other information but the above is the essential information that may establish a link. You may also try to contact my cousin Stuart who may be able to assist.

As mentioned, I live overseas (since 1991) and have not been back to PA since my grandfather's funeral when I was a teenager. I spent many summers with my grandfather and have only the fondest of memories of him and his small dairy farm.
