Sorry, but there is no connection. Our family is thoroghly documented (originally spelled EGGER) from Canton Bern Switzerland through Alsace(France) into PA 1741 and in NC by 1751... However, you might want to pursue the Egger family spelling in Switzerland and through alsace to America as there are many there who used the ECKERT spelling later.. Good luck.
