I have researched the Eagleton family here in Blount County where I live. David Eagleton born 3-16-1747/48 came from Scotland before the Rev. War. He married Elizabeth Hook on 12-2-1797 in Blount County. He died 5-17-1828 and is buried in the New Providence Presbyterian churchyard here in Maryville. Elizabeth was born 4-16-1769 and died 5-12-1839 and is buried in Clark's Grove cemetery in Maryville. Their children are Mary born 12/1/1783, John born 10-20-1785 died 7-12-1865 and married Lavina McCroskey, Alexander Eagleton born 2-2-1788, David born 4-15-1791, James born 6-20-1794, Rev. William born 3-26-1796 and died 3-28-1866. He is buried in the Old Campbell Cemetery in Rutherford Co, TN. His wife was Margaret (Peggy) Ewing. The were married 4-2-1866. The seventh child is Robert H. who was born 12-16-1798 and died 6-23-1865 buried Clark's Grove Cemetery. He married Elizabeth McCulloch. The eighth child is Margaret Eagleton born 3-24-1800 and married Hugh Torbett on 9-4-1823.The ninth child is Rev. Elijah born 2-2-1802 and died 3-18-1838. He was married to Eleanor Gault on 9-7-1826. The 10th child is another David born 12-31-1803. The first one died as child.
His 6th child, Rev. William had the following children: Margaret Angeline, Samuel Ewing, Elivera Hamilton, Isaac Alexander, William Clark, Eliza McEwen, Rev. George Ewing, John Alexander. I have all their dates and spouses. You can contact me at 309 Amy Drive
