I am descended from Laughlin Egan and Mary Cavanaugh. I thought he was born in 1787. The information I have indicates that their first child, Thomas, married Margaret Delilah Weaver. Their son John Joseph, married Mildred Jeanette Fairlamb. Their daughter, Lydia Inez, married Earl Compton. Their son, William Joseph, is my father. I am planning to go to Ireland this summer and am trying to find out where in Ireland Laughlin and Mary came from. I believe that he was from County Longford.
