I have just recently lost my father due to long term ill health at the age of 61. Dad (George)was from Liverpool England and one of five sons and one daughter Maureen, who is the only surviving member and still lives in Dovecot Liverpool.

I myself am now living in Wales with wife Elizabeth, son Joshua and obne on the way. My fathers love of music inspired me from an early age and as a result am now a professional guitar tutor and have a comfortable existance.

My mother who is deeply sorrowed has my sister at hand to help her from day to day to get over this trauma.

Dad was cremated on Monday 6th September at Weston Mill crematorium and this was attended by all of his immediate family and closest friends.

He had requested several things of me before he died, (I had not seen him since last Christmas) one was to play Placido Domingo singing the aria "Nessun Dorma" this was really heavy at the time. The other request was that he have his ashes scattered at sea. Dad was a chef in the navy and saw his main service on the aircraft carrier
HMS Eagle. Also I think that it was significant to was to be scattered in the sea at Plymouth Devon. The pilgrim fathers left from there on a journey on discovery to find the Americas, he always regretted not going there back in the early 70s with a job offer. We loved our father very much and find it hard to contain our sorrow. I hope that somebody finds the time to read this message.
