I just spent this weekend in a B&B in Modoc County CA and reading copies the Modoc Historical Magazine I found this information on some Eades. Don't know if this is the Granville Eads you seek. Maybe the info will help someone.
Modoc County Regisitered Voters 1898
Granville Eades age 76 born KY
Andrew Jackon Eades age 45 born Indiana
Isom Eades age 48 born Indiana
Lewis Madison Eades age 51
These Eades ware listed in the Lookout,area of Modoc County California. Lookout today may have 50 to 100 residents In 1901 it was the scene of the "Lookout Lynchings" where 5 people were hung from a river bridge by a group of local men that included Isom Eades. Isom was said to have married a local Indian "Gal"
