Carel/Carrel Eades (Eads) appeared on the Amherst Co, VA personal property tax lists 1787-1799. Amherst Co. was formed from Albemarle Co. 1761. Some of the Amherst Co. Ead(e)s have been connected to the Albermarle Co. families. There was a Bartlett Eades (Eads) on the Amherst Co, VA personal property tax lists 1787-1813, but Bartlett was most often enumerated in the Lexington District of Amherst Co. while Carrel (as well the other Eades households) was always enumerated in the Amherst District. Contact me if you would like to have my transcriptions of the tax listts.
