I have some information about the Eade family. The first Eade to come to Michigan was Joel Eade from Cronwall. He came to the Upper Penisula of Michigan about 1870 with his wife and 4(?) sons and a daughter I think. They were in the population records kept at Eagle Harbor I belive. Joel Eade was injured in a mining accident at the Central Mine on April 22, 1872. He died on May 4, 1872 from his injuries. This information comes from a book called "The Cornish Miner In America" by Arthur Cecil Todd printed in Great Britian by H. E. Warne, Ltd. St. Austell Cornwall 1967. It says in the article that Joel Eade was from Ludgvan.

Joel had 2 more sons born in Michigan before his death. I located his grave in a small cemetary near Eagle Harbor, Michigan

I myself was born Sept 1, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. My father Russell Orville Eade was born April 10, 1918 in either Hancock or Houghton and died April 3, 1987. His father was named Elrod Raymond Eade I think he died in 1946. Currently this is all of the information that I have but my Aunt my father's half sister should be able to fill in some of the gaps. I will talk to her soon and see what she knows. Anything that you can tell me about the Eade family from Joel backwards would be helpful.
