Hi Dawn,
I don't have any direct information on your William Eade (except the 1881 census). BUT I am interested in the Eades from this area, My guy is John Eade, b 1822 in Bradfield, but lived in Kirby le Soken. Also I'm interested in Thomas Eade b1811 in Wix, lived in Great Holland. I've checked the 1871, 81 and 91 censuses for Kirby and area.
Family lore is that my branch was related to Eades in Clacton (we even have a photo from the beach!)

Only found your William in 81, but Clacton wasn't in the 71 film I had.

But I did write out a list of all the Eades from the area in the 81 census. There are a couple more born in Little Clacton... William + family (31) lived in Brightlingsea, and Steven + family (27) lived in Little Clacton. There is also a William Eade (80) b Little Holland, lived in Little Clacton. There's also a Susan Eade b Gt Clacton, unmarried in Colchester, I suspect these may link with your William. If you havn't checked the earlier census's I'd recommend it, it certainly helped me.

I plan to look at earlier census's, I'll let you know if I find any other Eades, do you have any more names/dates for me to look for? I have a feeling that a lot of the Eades in this area are related, if we can go back, maybe we will link-up.

Bye for now

Gillian
