I believe the Mary Dooley mentioned in this posting MAY be the sister of my gggg grandfather Micajah Dooley. According to his War of 1812 Pension Packet Micajah was born in Maryland. He lived in Frederick County,Virginia. He was married there and started his family there. In 1834, they moved to Clarke/Greene County Ohio. Also in Clark County, Ohio is a older Greenfield Dooley who I believe may be a brother to Micajah as Micajah has a son named Greenfield too. In 1838 Micajah died in Ohio. Micajah's widow and family moved to Henry County (Marshall/Wayland) Iowa after his death. They also traveled to California in 1865, probably with the Eachus group, and homesteaded farms there. My ggg grandfather, Charles Dooley, has two Eachus males (I don't have their names with me right now) living with him in the 1870 census in Sutter County, California. Charles' daughter, Alice Jane Dooley married John Wesley Eachus (son of Elizabeth Jordan and James Dooley Eachus)in Sutter County on June 5, 1881. John Wesley(Dooley)is also the name of one of Charles' brothers. John Wesley Eachus died in Reno, Nevada after being struck by a train. Alice Jane Dooley Eachus and her two daughters, Lillian and Mayme Eachus, her father Charles, and my gg grandfather, George Dooley all move to Fremont County, Iowa in 1890. This is after John Wesley Eachus and Charles wife Lydia have passed away. I would love to hear from anyone who may have any information on Mary Dooley Eachus or this Eachus family.
