When I started doing this line I discovered Dina was usually born Adéline but carried the name Délima & Dina. Gilberte I never found any proof to say who the parents of Tharsile Charron were. I tried to find her baptism at Notre Dame of Ottawa, St Stephen in Chelsea, Lac Baskakong, Maniwaki's L'Assomption, Aylmer Mission recoreds at St Paul Church now burnt to the ground. I figured her to be Charron dit Wabinikik from a Reserve in Quebec. I wrote to Maniwaki several times to ask what comment was in the margin for that family and even got the film via inter library loan. . . it mentioned the family of Michel Ethier & Tharsile Charron & who they married ONLY. Since no one claimed Tharsile Charron I figured she must be Amerindienne. My father now passed some ten years ago remembered his grandmother Angéline Ethier as being NATIVE. She lived on Maniwaki Reserve most of her life but died at her son's place at Lac Bitobi her first husband was a Marchand & second husband was Benjamin Chalifoux. Ben Chalifoux was a sub chief and signed Land surrenders in 1890-1891 & he appears in books as Jolifou in Treaty Books. Gilberte Notify Administrator about this message?
