MY grandmother didn't speak english til she was about 15 or 16 years of age, For example she wrote Langwine, when I found out that it was Langevine ( Bariere ) SO she wrote her french ancestors in english,as her french accent sounded. SO here is what she wrote, and is all I have from her side. ,,I am going to write this exactly how my grandmother wrote it,, so you can have a better understanding of where iam at,,as follows: Louise Langwine and Abraham Beade(e') one daughter- Mary Osite Beade married Louis MArtell 3 children were born unknown Louis MArtell died at an early age Mary Osite Beade Martell remarried to Charles Ethier To them 5 children were born, Lucille Ethier - Narrow- 2 children Osite Ethier - Blair - large family Rosa Ethier - Changnon (?) - 2 children Sarah Ethier - Duchaine - 1 daughter Madore Ethier - large family unknown Then she had another paper stuck in her book that says pretty close to the same thing but a lil different: Abraham Beade (came from Germany) married Louise Langwine to them they had one girl who was MAry Osite Beade. MAry then married, Louis Martell and to them were born three children: Fannie Martell Abraham Martell Louise MArtell The 3 children married: Louise married an unknown Blair( BLain) Fannie Martell married a Pitite(e') Champange Abraham MArtell married a Joset Blair ( BLain ) MAry Osite Beaude (e') had a second husband, Charlie Ethier, to them were born: Lucille Ethier Rosalie Ethier Osite EThier MAdore EThier This is all she wrote, and i notice that her spellings were sometimes off, but being french and trying to learn english, she could have gotten these spellings mixed up some. I do knoe that the osite's were changed quite a bit and the Beade ( Baude ) was. Sara Ethier's sister Osite Ethier married a David Blair, whom ended up in the U.S as well, whom was the godparents to Sarah MAry EThier and aLbert Deschenes daughter,,whom was Sarah MArie Duchaine. Duchaine was changed quite a bit too. IT was Deschenes in Quebec, and here its Duchaine. So needless to say, it has been quite confusing for me. I was in Sciota, New York , by Rouses Point,& VErmont,, and i took a walk in the graveyard there and found several Dragon's and DRagoon's. Not sure if my gr gr grandmother EThier was buried there, but Im certain she had relatives in VErmont and on the U.S side. Anyways,,,here ya go, thanks ...Some of the surnames, that I found that could be connected are, Ethier,MArtel,Bariere,Baudriault,Beaudriault, Beade,Baudi, My gr grandmother Mary Ethier, whom was married to Albert Deschesne (DUschenes)had one daughter, Sarah MArie Duchaine. MAry Ethier's father and mother are Charles Ethier, and Mary Ozithe BAudi (etc.)(BAudriault ?) If anyone can help me piece this , IT would be so much appreciated. MAry Ethier and ALbert Duchaines last place of origin, that I know was in Sciota, Mooers Forks, N.Y area. Thanx Nick Notify Administrator about this message?
