Aquilla was born in Page County Va July 28th 1810. He married Sophronia Harvey Nov. 30th 1837. He died Aug 31st 1873 in Jasper County Illinois. I have Aquilla as being the elder child of John Baylis Dyson and Nancy Mary Garret of Md. His siblings were;1. Lucy Baylis Dyson born 1810-1815? Lucy married Abner Needler in 1840.2. Lawrence Dyson was born between years 1815-1820 and married Elizabeth Douglas in 1840. 3. Joseph Dyson was born between years 1820-1825.4. Henry Dyson was born in 1823 in Guernsey County Ohio.5. Malissa Dyson was born in 1832 also in Ohio.6. Nancy Dyson was born in 1834 in Ohio and Married a John Reeder.7. Mary Dyson was born in 1837 in ohio.
The parents of John Baylis Dyson were Aquilla Dyson and Lucy Chilton Baylis. I have the older Aquilla as being born between 1762-1765 in Trinity Parish Charles County Md and his death about 1812 in Guernsey County Ohio (noble) and being buried on the w. Clark farm in Ava Ohio. Lucy Chilton Baylis and Aquilla Dyson were married 12-16-1779 in Faquier Va. Lucy's parents were John Baylis and Jane Blackburn. This Aquilla's parents were Joseph Dyson and Dorcus Turner of Md.
Lucy and Aquilla had seven children. 1- Elijah. 2- Henieta(sp)C. She married Alexander Kirkpatrick 1-19-1825 3-Mary B. She married Jonathan Russell Kackley 1-6-1816 4- John Baylis. 5- Margaret. 6- Lucy. 7-Joseph. He married Sarah Campbell.
Joseph Dyson and Dorcus Turner had the following children. 1-Aquilla. 2-Mary. 3-Samuel Turner. 4-Winifred.5- Thomas Andrew. 6-Andersen.( note; Joseph Dyson was married twice. Winifred, Thomas Andrew and Andersen were the children of Joseph and his first wife Elizabeth Chunn....Mary,Aquilla and Samuel Turner were the Children of his second marriage to Dorcus Turner.) That is as far back as I go for now. Jimmy
