I don't recognize your grandfather's name, but my grandmother, Ruth Beatrice Dyson, was b. 1898 near Wilmington NC. to Robert Benjamin Dyson & Rebecca Smith. I know there are many Dysons still in Bladen County, around the communities of Whiteville and Elizabethtown. They used to have a family reunion every October. My aunt has also visited the cemetary in Whiteville where many of the Dysons are buried - if you think there's a connection,I'll try to find out what I can from her. Good luck.
