I've researched Barton and Anna DYSON for a number of years and the only clue I've ever seen concerning her surname is a brief note in the files of a Mr. SWANN who was the local historian in Iredell Co many years ago. He states, with no indication as to why he believes so, that she is sister to Aeneas CAMPBELL, Jr. My problem with this belief grows out of a review of the family of Aeneas Campbell Sr. who did have a daughter Anna, but she married Carlton BELT and could not have been Anna DYSON. The remainder of Aeneas' girls are also accounted for by way of other marriages. Could Anna be a cousin?
