I was wondering if any one can help me trace my family to a Sioux line of Indians?? I have some info. I would like solid evidence we are all related.
I have a Margaret "Martha" Basham/Riddle marrying a Joseph Alva Dyson abt. 1920 in Indiana. Her Mom's name was Ada "Addie" N. Nixon and her Mom and Dad's names were: Martha Basham and John Harrison Riddle. I have places of birth and dates but, I just wanted to give basic info. The Indian connection is through the name Basham. This is what I came up with:
Martha Basham~~Full Indian
Ada Nixon-(Basham)-Riddle~~1/2 Indian
Margaret Basham/Riddle-Dyson~~1/4 Indian
My Mom~~Barbara Ann Dyson~~1/8 Indian
Me Julie Ann Fravel-Gates~~1/16 Sioux Indian
