Hi Dennis,

The surname Dyson was brought into my family by my great x6 grandmother Sarah Dyson who lived in Cherry Hinton, Cambridshire, England. The name was then used as a christian name for both males and females. So far I have been able to trace around 16 Disons and Dysons, some of whom are still alive today. It seems that people who wrote in the record books spelt it both ways. If there is any connection in your family with Cherry Hinton, Great Shelford or the name Webb, I would be pleased to hear about it.

Best wishes, and a Merry Christmas

Sue Webb
