I have not been able to positively identify the parents of Jennet WOODS. I have come across speculation that she may have been the daughter of Samuel WOODS and Elizabeth PATTON. The known children of Samuel WOODS and Elizabeth PATTON are shown below and include a Robert WOODS. Robert WOODS married Mary WHITE about 1790 in Burke Co, NC. He later moved to Madison Co, GA.
Samuel WOODS and Elizabeth PATTON lived in Rowan Co, NC. On 8 Oct 1765, his father released 250 acres to him and to his brother Andrew. On 28 Mar 1770, He and his wife Elizabeth sold to Hugh Linn for 46 pds proc, 148 acres on west side of Cold Water Creek in Rowan Co, NC. This land was adjacent to his father Samuel Woods, Samuel Galbreath and Griffith Rutherford. He moved to Burke Co, NC and later to Georgia. Will dated 25 Dec 1820, Hall County, Georgia
