I have begun doing some research on the Dysarts who were in Inishowen, Donegal and Londonderry in the 18th century . Mine are in the Limavady area of Co Derry. How the Coleraine Dysarts connect I don't know, but I'd be interested to know if your branch were Roman Catholics. The Inishowen lot and my husband's family were all staunch Presbyterians and they always maintained the Coleraine Dysarts were RC. I have no religious axe to grind - just interested in what caused the split and when. There are some Dysarts in Coleraine in the current Northern Ireland phone directory. If you contact me I'll be happy to pass the names on.
