I am descended from John Bertrand Dysart and Mary Patton through their son William M. who married Mary Ann Adams. Their daughter Martha Matilda married Richard C. Mallard and their daughter, Cora Belle married Leslie Taylor. Their daughter Myrtle Mae was my mother. I have John's Rev War papers in which he did not list his children nor did he leave a will. I belong to DAR but have found nothing that they will accept proving that William M is indeed their son. I am sure this is right. I have several quarterlies from the Marshall Co. Historical Society listing children. I still think I am on the right track.
