David, William Allen Dysart was a Civil War Veteran of Company D 4th Tn Cavalry. The division was known as Mc Lemore's and served as bodyguard to Jefferson Davis. (From war records and Archives in Washington DC and confirmed in History of Williamson and other counties in TN.
Wm was the son of Andrew Dysart and Jane Ewing. Wm was married to Elizabeth Bivin they had 3 children. Hope this helps. Jennifer
