Dear Joyce,
I do not know who his father his. My notes say that James Dysart fought in the Revolutionary War and died at the Battle of Cowan's Ford, Lincoln Co. NC, 01-Feb-1781. One source said he was born 1727,in Londonderry, Ulster, Ireland (Jack Dysart Dameron gives date of 1717 for James' birthdate.) I do not know his pension number.

He married Margaret Young Stewart b. 1731 in Ireland, died Burke Co., NC 1800. (Jack gives county of death as Berbee Co., NC)

They had a son named John Berstrand Dysart, Sr., b. 25-Dec-1749. Chester Co., PA Fought in Rev. War (DAR) Served w/Cap. S. Woods, & Wm. Moore. J.B.D. died 10-Sep-1842, Bedford Co., TN -S3315 NC Line. Fought in Battle of King's Mountain. J.B. Dysart married Martha Woods, 05-Apr-1800. They had a daughter named Charity Dysart who married John Dysart, Sr. on 09-Nov-1799 in Paint Lick, Garrard Co., KY. They had seven children. One of them was Rev. Harvey Woods. Harvey was b. 12-Feb-1804, in Wilson Co., TN; he died 1864 in Mississippi. He married Cecelia M. Hall. She died 02-May-1885. Don't know where. Her father was Thomas Hall.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS HALL FAMILY?

Thanks, Kathryn Mero Holmes Lang
