RW Pension petition of John Dysart states that his father, James, and brother, William, were killed in NC by Cornwallis troops.John fought many battles, including
the battle of King's Mountain.
Believe this James Dysart to be brother of Samuel Dysart of Brook Hall, Ireland, and uncle of Col. James A. Dysart, who was wounded at King's Mountain.I have wondered if these two cousins knew that the other was at the same battle. They should have known each other, as James A. (B 1744) was first in PA with his father, after coming to America in 1761.
