My great-grandfather, Ralph Dynes, was born in 1864. According to his marriage certificate, he wrote down that he was born in Ballynery, County Armagh, Ireland. At that time he and his brother, Charles, were working in the timberyards in British Columbia. Do you think there might be a connection between the families? His parents names were Ralph Dynes and Ellen McStravick/McStrawick.
