Mary Dynes of Ashford, Kent, married Thomas Butcher, Gent.,
of Wadhurst, Sussex, on 23 May 1639 at Frant Church in Sussex. Rev. William Dykes was the Vicar of Frant Church.
Thomas died in 1646/7 (buried on January 10, 1647 n.s.) at
St. James Church, Great Horwood, Bucks., England.

She married (2) in 1647, Henry Dykes Jr., and they had one son, Henry III, born about 1651. Mary died in 1651 and I would like to find her parents. She was full Administrix of Thomas Butcher's estate in both Virginia and in England. After she died, Henry Dykes Jr., became the full Adm. of the Butcher estate. Henry Dykes was born in 1602 in Sussex and came on The Primrose in 1635 to Virginia and went to York County. He returned to England about the time that Thomas and Mary Butcher came to Virginia in 1643 and returned to England.
I want to know where they owned land in Virginia. Was it in
St. Peters Parish, New Kent County (formed in 1652 from York Co.?
